From smaller client specific chilled spaces, to large frozen stores, we have over 64,000 pallet spaces between our Timaru and Rolleston sites. Satellite racking and radio shuttle retrieval are vital to the efficiency of our operations, ensuring your goods are placed, stored and retrieved with minimal handling.
Our spaces range from large warehouses to smaller, client specific rooms that are generally tailored for an exclusive use. All products entering our facilities are scanned in to our inventory system, which is then available live for you to view, ensuring you know exactly what you have stored with us.
Coolpak’s refrigeration facilities are operated in such a manner so that the required temperature of products is maintained throughout storage. Temperatures are maintained and controlled by a Calibrated Automatic Temperature Recorder (CATR) and temperature measuring devices are calibrated annually by certified contractors.
The temperature of the refrigerated facilities is monitored, and a series of daily checks are performed to ensure the optimum temperatures are maintained during the storage of products. In addition, routine maintenance on refrigeration equipment is carried out by the authorised service provider.
Rolleston Site
The Rolleston site (S2316) was started in 2017 and is continually expanding with current storage capacity for 43,000 chilled and frozen pallets. In addition, the S2316 site is China listed. Coolpak are looking to further grow its Rolleston footprint and have recently agreed to purchase an additional 42,600m2 site adjacent to the I-Port in Rolleston
Timaru Site
Timaru has storage facilities totalling 22,000 pallets of chilled and frozen products which fits nicely into the service Coolpak offers to assist with the non-China product.

Other solutions
With a number of transport options, we are able to tailor a timely, door-to-door logistics solution for customers, facilitated using our fully reticulated container yard, housing over 100 containers.
Coolpak has extensive access to the road and rail networks across New Zealand, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Our depots are strategically positioned to give us easy access to the rest of the world via international airports and commercial ports.
Our blast freezers have a capacity of 400 tonnes per day and are capable of handling a variety of products. Blast freezing times vary depending on product type and how they are presented.
Four blast freezers are located adjacent to our frozen stores and ELA in our main building, so transfer of product directly to store, truck or container is seamless and contained within the building. Another four blast freezers are housed within the packing room building, with product transfered to the main freezer after blast freezing.

Our sites are MPI approved transitional facilities and equipped with all the necessary equipment required to efficiently handle the packing or devan of containers.
When it comes to shipping, we understand timing is everything. Our container yards run to rigorous schedules and we work closely with our shipping partners to ensure customer products are packed and ready to be sent when a shipping berth is available.
